There are sights you will never see on a day trip. Ōshima is 25 minutes by ferry from Fukuoka. By day, it's a lively fishing town. But when night falls, the streetlights go dark, and the sky opens up. This tour takes you to Ōshima by evening ferry, where a guide leads you to the ruins of wartime gun batteries. After watching the sunset sink into the horizon, you'll gaze up at the sky growing darker by the minute. A truly star-filled sky—something you could never see in the city. Lanterns, warm drinks, and your guide's stories of constellations. That night, you'll stay at Tokaiaya Guesthouse on the island. Sleeping in a warm wooden Japanese room, listening to the sound of waves. When you return to the mainland by ferry the next morning, Ōshima has already become a part of you.
