Spring on Munakata Oshima Island is defined by amanatsu citrus. Beneath bright blue skies, pick the golden fruits one by one from a farmer's field. Then head to the Community Center kitchen, where under the guidance of a local instructor, you'll make "amanatsu sauce" from the fruit you picked yourself. The result: a golden bottle of sauce with your own custom label. Lunch is at a local café on the island—a fish sandwich set made with local catch. And a special amanatsu splash made by mixing your homemade sauce with sparkling water, available only that day. Eat, create, meet people, laugh.
