Ich habe westliche Massagetechniken in Kanada gelernt und bin dann nach Fukuoka zurückgekommen, um das Kintsugi Spa zu eröffnen.
Im Spa spreche ich jeden Tag mit Reisenden aus der ganzen Welt. "Wo soll ich heute Abend essen?" "Ich kann die Speisekarte nicht lesen und bin verwirrt." "Ich bin allein — ist es okay, eine Izakaya zu betreten?" Ich hörte die gleichen Fragen immer wieder. Ich wollte sie nicht zu den Restaurants aus dem Reiseführer bringen, sondern zu den Hakata-Lokalen, wo ich selbst hingehe. Deshalb habe ich diese Food-Tour begonnen. Tagsüber den Körper im Kintsugi pflegen, nachts mit mir durch die Gassen von Hakata spazieren. Ich hoffe, dass ein solcher Tag die schönste Erinnerung deiner Reise wird.

Great place! My wife and I visited Kintsugi Spa twice in a span of a week while visiting Fukuoka. Junko, Miki & Yuka treated us with great care, warmth and kindness. What an amazing experience! Miki and Kumi treated my partner and I with warmth and professionalism from start to finish. Miki speaks excellent English. It’s not a big commercial spa — just a small, welcoming space where you immediately feel comfortable. The owner was so polite and kind, and she took the time to understand exactly what I needed before starting. The massage itself was refreshing and genuinely helped me unwind after days of walking around the city. The pressure was perfect — attentive and relaxing without ever feeling rushed. You can tell she really cares about her craft and the people who come through her door. This was one of the few massages I got while traveling, but it easily became the most memorable. I truly wish the very best for her and hope more people get to experience this little gem in Fukuoka.
